Ashwini Marthandam (aka Teacher Vini)

I began my journey with the ‘Mom and me’ program about 10 years ago when I enrolled my son there at 18 months. I stayed a mom at the program till he was 3. As he started pre-school, the wonderful teachers in our program (Brenda and Sharon) asked me if I would like to come aboard and work with them. I started out as an aide, but at the same time, I was taking classes and working towards getting my degree in Early Childhood Education. I worked as an aide for about 6 years, and then eventually moved on to teaching in this program. I have learned so much from my talented and dedicated colleagues and cannot wait to apply all that I have learned in my class.

Our classes offer a great balance of play, learning, sensory experiences, cognitive building, motor skills, art and science. Most importantly, it promotes a Bonding between the parent and child that helps build the child’s confidence and self-esteem. I am thrilled to be a part of this program and cannot wait to see you all in our classroom.
