• Azar-Hagen Grammar Series | Teacher guides, Grammar ...

    Azar Grammar has three books:

    • Basic English Grammar (intermediate-low, 15 chapters)
    • Fundamentals of English Grammar (intermediate-high, 14 chapters)
    • Understanding and Using English Grammar (advanced, 20 chapters)

They will teach you about grammar through demonstration videos, practice activities, and online tests. You will need to finish all the activities in a book and pass the midterms in order to receive a certificate of completion; you will get additional certificates for each course you complete. It is recommended that you start from the first book and progress through all three. Even advanced level students will find the intermediate level books helpful. However, you and your teacher can decide together if starting at a higher level is a good choice for you.

You will access your Azar books through the Pearson: My English Lab website. Because of this, please make sure you have a computer, tablet, or phone that can access the Internet before registering for Azar Grammar. Once you are enrolled, your teacher will give you an orientation before providing you with your account information.

⚠️ Because the first book starts at an intermediate level, you should already know some basic grammar rules. If you are a beginning-level student, you cannot enroll in this course. Please check out Burlington English, Project Success, or classroom learning instead.
