The first day of school is coming fast! We are looking forward to an awesome year ahead!
PLEASE NOTE: The tab for our Bell Schedule is missing from our home page. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. In the meantime see below for the bell schedule. Wednesday, 8/27, the first day of school is a minimum day. Thursday and Friday are regular days.

IMPORTANT!
Attention Parents of all incoming 7th Grade Students:
For the 2014/2015 school year, California Law (AB 354) requires an additional immunization called Tdap in order for your student to advance into or enter 7th grade. The adolescent whooping cough/pertussis booster shot, (Tdap) must be given on or after age 7 to meet this requirement.
Valid proof must show: 1) type of shot given, 2) date, 3) provider’s signature/stamp.
If parents have not provided proof to their school by the first day of school, August 27, 2014, your student will NOT be allowed to attend.
 
Horner parents,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Please follow the instructions below how to call in for an absence or to reach a staff member.
 
Horner's phone number: 510-656-4000.  When you call the school you will be prompted with the following choices.
  • You can put in the 5 digit extension if you know it. The ext. for calling in an absence is: 48901
  • Press 7 for the school directory and the prompts are: #1 for attendance (absences), #2 for the counselor, #3 for the registrar, and #0 for the office.
  • Press 8 for the dial by name option.
  • Press 0 to get the office.
 
Parents,
Please note that all students are aware of the "no classroom interruption" policy. We will remind students in our daily bulletin periodically throughout the year to check in the office if they have forgotten their lunch, homework, etc. All visitors dropping off items are required to come to the office. Any bag lunches not claimed will be disposed of at the end of the day and any lunch boxes will be placed in the lost and found.
